Abstract
Certain materials are able to conduct electrons only on their surfaces. A recent example is the mysterious residual conductivity of SmB6. In this experiment we aim to directly measure the depth where the surface conductivity occurs in SmB6, and to detect if the conducting electrons co-operate to form an ultrathin magnetic layer.
