Since the high-temperature superconductivity was discovered in the copper oxides, the exact determination of a phase diagram has been a fundamental issue because the phase diagram bares a clue to the paring mechanism of the high-temperature superconductivity. Thus, it is of great interest to determine the phase diagram of the electron-doped cuprate Pr1-xLaCexCuO4 as a function of an actual doping concentration to clarify a particle–hole asymmetry between the electron- and hole-doped cuprates.
