BaFe2S3 is an important new material that becomes superconducting under pressure. Partially replacing S with Se is expected to mimic the effect of pressure, bringing the material closer to superconductivity. We will use muon spin relaxation to determine the effect of Se doping on the magnetic properties of BaFe2S3, in conjunction with ongoing neutron scattering investigations of the same samples.
