MuSR is best technique to detect magnetic polarization on oxygen. La2CuO4 show dielectric anomaly around room temperature. La2-xSrxNiO4 show dielectric breakdown at E>10^3-4, and turn to insulator to metallic. These are similar situation with Sr2IrO4 and Ca2RuO4, which suggest multiferroic behavior around apical oxygen. The existence of oxygen polarization will offer us new insight into the origin of Mott-insulator transition.
